Wanting people to take my 22Ft Yacht to Cyprus
      #955953 - 15/02/2006 13:35

I am looking for 2-3 people to transport my 22 Ft, 4 berth yacht from Brighton to Cyprus. There is not real time limit but would like the yacht to be in Cyprus by the end of July. As there is no time limit you may use the yacht to explore France, the Med etc at your own pace. The way you go is up to you (French canals or Bay of Biscay). The skipper of the trip must have a yacht master qualification or above and had experience of such delivery trip. There is no salary but you do get the use of the boat for 5 months and get free accommodation in Cyprus. Phone Tim on 07711277707 or 01273 477735

If only I had the free time I would love the challenge!
Have you not seen the capabilitys of Sailing Canoes - vessels much smaller than 22ft have crossed the atlantic!
As long as the vessel and her fittings are in a suitable condition (very good) and type (hull design and weight) and the skipper has the nessesary patience and forethought which is required to take a vessel of this size on such a voyage then it is most possible!
I bid you Fair Winds and good luck with the passage!

(Just from curiosity... What is she?)

Hi All,

Thank you for your replies.

She is a Kingfisher Yacht and had heavy displacement and could easily make this passage. I have been caught out in big storms and she handles so well (though not a pleasant experience, but is any storm). Thank you Stella Girl, I agree with your posts. I will give it a try on the Wanted pages but i have a couple of people currently interested. Thank you Zebu_Phil for your kind good wishes. Anyone else want to have 6 months of fun sailing? Kindest regards, Tim
