Some of you will remember a post of mine a while back, asking if anyone knew of a small-scale restoration project (20ft ish). I have now joined a slightly larger group and we plan to restore a boat together - one of them has some experience in this. We are after a wooden sailing yacht of around the 30ft mark. Condition is relatively unimportant, but it must be cheap if it requires a lot of work. Does anyone know of something? It has to be classic, made of wood, pretty, seaworthy, must leak and rot, etc.

I wonder if an Essex smack would suit? There's at least two I know of in need of a rebuild; I can put you in the right direction by PM if you're interested.

If your dog is barking at the back door and your wife is yelling at the front door, who do you let in first?
> The dog, of course. He'll shut up once you let him in.
