An old fella in my club wants to sell his, its a 1952 model and has been neglected for the past 3 years last year it was damaged in a storm and the rubbing strake damaged,i foolishly said i would try to sell it for him but i dont know where to start,has any one any ideas on what this boat might fetch?and where i might advertise. thanks Chris.

You might try the Folkboat Association, also some of the internet advertising forums like boats & outboards. Old folkboats seem to go for anything between nominal sums and £7-8k for really good ones. It all really depends on the structural state and the quality of equipment. If the boat is afloat and ready to sail she's worth a lot more than one that needs extensive restoration, basically.

Thanks Ken, she is in a bit of a state,but mostly cosmetic apart from the rubbing strake,also the engine a stuart Turner needs looking at,i will get on to the association.
