Cowes based - seeking position as Grinder, ideally on JOG races/ or SAt/Sun Racing off of Cowes. Not bad local knowledge of cans. Not necessarily for all races happy to act as standby. Good at making bacon butties and tea whilst boat is heeling over.

Thanks markju, Kind of after a stand in slot as can't commit to whole season, but keep my kit bag at the ready so if anyone phones in sick on raceday, train late etc then I can be at the yacht haven in less than 3 mins. Only live 1 mins walk from back door of Anchor Inn. Working on building up my high end B & B business.

Just set up my own crew register (free to join Mr moderator as my site is non-for profit) on a class by class basis for Cowes week to save people trawling through 300+ general posts on the skandia cowes week forum. Could do with someone to sanity check it though! (And a few people to register as well as some boats...Once again site run as a hobby not as a commercial venture. Live in Cowes and Love it!

Hi Have you ever thought of racing Etchells, I know its not grinding, but if you are strong you will find that the boats are quite demanding, particularry +20kts, but also being sailed generally 3 up it will help sharpen your other sailing skills, if you go to the Etchells UK fleet forum you can register yourself. www.etchellsukfleet.co.uk
Best regards Rob (etchells RAGTIME GBR962)
