Hi This is just what you have been looking for if you use your laptop at the chart table and wished you could repeat it to the cockpit. It's basically a robust touch sensitive screen that you connect to your laptop as an external monitor and you can then control the functions using the normal menus etc but via the screen. Never been used. All the kit I got with it is for sale with it as is the disc with drivers etc. This is the sort of thing used on BT Global Challenge yachts. Asking £200 plus postage or can collect from South East Suffolk.

very interesting - what power supply does it need? Presumably 240v into a power brick - what is the DC voltage going into it from there?

Hi It appears to want 12V DC. Here's a picture of the adapter.
