I bought it, put it in the cupboard and never used it. SWMBO says I must have a clear out, so here goes.

How old is it/is it the current model?

It is not the current model and I cannot recall when I bought it (senior moment) but not in the last year or so. Probably 4 years or so ago.
For the fashion-conscious, it is red with white reflective patches. Very becoming for that seasoned sailor look!
