Jeez fellers I'm going barmy here and looking for some help! A week ago I had an innocuous looking window open up, can't remember what the window was advertising but it was one of those where the "x" to close the window was well hidden if it existed at all. This isn't the first time this has happened to me.
Anyway, in trying to close the window I activated one of those sex websites that bomb you with more and more stuff. In the end, instead of closing each window (because it went on and on) I just powered the machine off then booted it up and performed a virus scan to make sure.
Since then I have received a bill for £39.95 from Micro Bill Systems for taking out a subscription to My SexWorld.
The bill appears on my screen each time I start my web browser. Now, because I haven't paid it (and have no intention of paying it) the window stays on and prevents me from working for a few minutes. I notice there is a range of 6 indicators and I am presently on the second indicator so presumably that means the time delay is going to progressively increase.
I have written to Micro Bill Systems but they respond with an email that simply doesn't answer my questions and tells me I'm liable to pay - WHICH I AM NOT.
Does anyone have any advice, this is most frustrating, I'm not up for blackmail or losing the use of my computer to these dickheads.
Cheers, Brian.

Best to buy your porn from a newsagent in future, like the rest of us. At least what you pay is what you get. If you will try to do it on the cheap via t'internet it will come back and bite you as you've discovered to your cost
Actually, £39.95 isn't bad for MySexWorld - was it a special offer you responded to?
Cheers Tom

Thanks for the various replies. I discovered my out of subscription Spyware Doctor could deal with it so I renewed and zap ... it's gone. It was particularly malicious in the true sense of the word, pretty much blackmail really and I was stressed because the delay factor was intended to cause the worry of others spotting the invoice for porn - better to pay up than argue about it.
Since Easyjet and Ryanair offer 1p flights to South of France, I've given up buying porn magazines in favour of ogling the real thing.
Cheers, Brian.

So glad it's all now sorted, Brian. Will bring a selection of publications for you to the Cherbourg meet - anything to help!
