No not me, I'm always slow, but the site over the last few days seems to me to be getting slow again. More times than not it now times out or takes an age for a thread to load, so much so that I usually just give up.

I appear to have the same problem and its not my legs running out of petrol or the brain having a senior moment. Please can it be fixed as it teribly frustrating for a budding geriatric.

The upgrade you were referring to was actually a change to allow a lot more bandwidth onto all of our servers; the one that was more important to the forums (much faster database server) has now been made and I think you should all be seeing the difference.

Searider 45 -- 1974 build by a company called Beecham Marine in Tewkesbury...used to build wooden motor cruisers in the 1960s, then turned to GRP bottom/wooden top in 1970s. 25% VAT killed that off in 1975 with only around six of the 45s built (I've tracked down pics of four of them so far but have no idea where Formanda's sisters are).
Not yet sure but assume Beecham was based at what is now Tewkesbury Marina.
Hull design is great, takes head seas really well without any slamming.
Quite a lot of work to do and she will always be a little bit of a Forth Bridge project but loads of room on board and a full size galley right next door to the engineroom companionway so may main areas of interest nicely grouped :-)

That's interesting cos I started my first ever job in Tewkesbury in 1976 and spent many a happy lunch hour down by the river. Wasn't much interested in boats at the time but don't recall seeing a boatyard. As you say most likely to be where the marina is or somewhere close by. Shakespeare boats were also based there, quite a boatbuilding hub!
