Recently dumped AOL and gone to Sky for ISP. £5 instead of £27.
Sky provided wireless router which I've connected to my desktop via Ethernet. All works brilliant, can access the Forum anywhere in my house from wireless laptop. Even installed a Belkin range extender so I can get to bottom of garden. Also got a '3' dongle so can access on the boat. All fanatastic, so far.
What I would like to do now is to set up a wireless network, so both myself and daughter can share desktop resources (large discs, printer etc.) from our respective laptops.
Was hoping this might work through router provided by Sky. Have tried XP wireless setup wizards, but it don't want to know. Am I expecting too much, should I install wireless card/dongle on my desktop.
What do I need to do, any experts who can help?

As long as your laptops have wifi in them, or wifi dongles, then it should be relatively easy to set up. A '3' dongle is presumably to connect via phone, not wireless router, so a bit of clarification needed.
The XP wizard is great when it works, but sometimes it doesn't and you simply have to do it manually.
If the router is wifi enabled, then much better to do it that way than through the pc. Follow this first www.sky.com/Assets/PDF/StaticFiles/708310.pdf

if you still have problems, then give as much information as possible about the problems you are having, and anything that will help diagnose the problem

Thanks Brendan, will follow your suggestions. The '3' dongle is not playing any part in net, just enables me to access Internet on boat. Hope to see you afloat again this year.
