Fishing Net

I posted this last month.

25 miles NW of Cherbourg under engine in fog I picked up a massive old fishing net round the prop. Had to request a tow to port and was charged €2,700 for the tow. (insurance paid)

All around the area was old nets and rubbish. Other skippers I spoke to saw the same.

On the return journey to the Solent I posted a watch and he saw more nets in the same area.
