I quite like the idea of being able to bungem a few quid. Like say £20 or £50 quid. I feel that doing this allows me to carp with inpunity, slag off the crew with vitriolic smugness from the safety of a keyboard and the smug shield of being a sponsor. Oops! Er, I mean it allows me to contribute to a worthwhile celebration of our martime heritage.
Anyway, i bet lots of other warped yet vaguley well-meaning armchair adventurers are also up for it, so kindly orgainse a worldpay box thing or whatever.
Also, can the moderators orgainse a sponsor to have a nice flower against their name please provided that they give 50 quid? or 25 quid then? Not 10 quid anyway. Then everyone will want a flower, so raising lots of loot for this worthy charity that is thankfully nothing to do with poorly disadvantaged children who must all be flippin millionaires by now.

A Supporters' Club is clearly a high priority and will, I am sure, be on stream shortly. It will have to be carefully organised to give positive benefits to contributors without costing more than we get in!
Your suggestion of some sort of 'badge' or 'medal' which contributors can attach to their posts is a neat idea. I am sure that sponsors' outings and discounts on memorabilia will also be considered.
However, before we can go much further we will need at least one major sponsor to get the ball rolling. Watch this space...

Why a flower? I think I would prefer a little sextant or a yacht.

Gipsy rose lee was a slutty amercian actress, i think. I though he caled it gipsey moth cos it is like a gipsey moving around, but more of a flea pit. My flower reference was to change the appearance of usernames on the screen in the forum. Perhaps gipsey is a play on word so feeling gippy at sea=gipsea =gipsy. I spect there is also a traveling fly called a Sickbag, not sure, but that would have done if Ghypsey moth had been already taken, Not at all sure how to spell Gipsy, hope you can help.

send the money to me and I will offset it against the outstanding invoice we have with Camper & Nicholsons for materials supplied for GMIV.
Doesn't look like we will get paid as C&N will be shut before we can get a summons in, so may have to go and remove the bits from GMIV at SIBS.
