Opal Marine.... Closing its doors at Chichester?
Anyone know if this is really the case? Have heard they are going to Swanick only with less product & less team.

It wouldnt suprise me. The market is tought right now for anything that isnt an essential buy. So thats boats, cars, holidays etc etc
If you have to be in that market, you small overheads and a product where you dont have to carry crippling levels of stock

Should free up a few berths at Chichester - may be even offered at a discount rate just to re-let them?

We (my family and I) have owned a 2006 Azimut 50 for 13 months now and whatever happens I really hope the Opal Marine business grows as the after sales service I've had from everyone at the Chichester office has been ABSOLUTELY AMAZING - THANKS TO THEM ALL.

I hope it isn't true,
I have sold and bought through the brokerage department and found them to be brilliant and keen to go the extra mile to please customers and help out.
I would use them again despite keeping my boat elsewhere.

Not surprised if it's true, I get the impression things have been pretty quiet - don't see too many boats on the handover pontoon. Shame though, they have just spent a lot of money sprucing the place up (though they had still to get the clock on the roof working again!)
Does this mean that all those who were displaced from G pontoon to other berths to make way for the sales/demo boats, will be coming back? It's closer to the Spinnaker....
