My Sealine 220 is ready for another season. Before i put her in the water I carried out a final check and found the steeering is almost impossibly stiff
i don't want to force it, but there is little more than a degree or 2 in either direction.
any ideas most welcome

have a look on the Column, there may be a kind of nut screw that is the lubrication for the helm, check the oil / grease level , or your cables may be seized, just ideas, owners manual should help or phone Sealine for help.

most likely the cable. but it could be the bearings in the outdrive.
disconnect the pin on the little tiller sticking out of the outdrive behind the engine.
Still stiff? YES reconnect it, NO its the outdrive bearings. Lift boat and weep.
disconnect the cable from the steering gubbins under the wheel.
Still stiff? YES keep spinning and lubricate the wheel gubbins till it's free. NO buy a new cable and replace.
JUST THOUGHT - does the 220 have power steering? If so are you running the engine when testing?
