Hi Long time no post! I have just put my boat back in the water after winter and a long dry out,as I keep her in the oggin for as long as I can even in winter. I topped up the water tank and started to flush out the pipes and none of the taps would turn off the water completely. Will they swell up now they have had water through them or is it new washers all around? I have tried a search neg. results Many thanks

Same thing happened to me with the galley tap. I took the body of the tap out and the washer looked OK, so while I had it out I opened a closed it a few times to make sure it was working. I then put the tap back together and it worked fine Must have been a bit stiff after lying up all winter and taking it apart freed it up enough to seat properly and shut off the water.

How odd Ihad exactly the same problem, both galley and heads sink, took the taps apart, washers have gone very hard. Tried to find new washers odd size, phoned tap suppliers (ECS) No stock, so its try and modify or thick side of £100 for 2 sets of taps !
