Hauling my inflatable onboard over the guard rail is such a struggle, 26 kilos, that its rarely used and spents most of the season bundled up in the quarter berth or stowed on deck. Has anyone any experience of a 5 kilo SEVYLOR or a similar? My Mirage 28 is based at Port St Louis Du Rhone.

They do quite a range. I did not find a 5 kilo one but it sounds too light. There are some heavier ones that might be a bit better
Sevylor website
Or something like this perhaps

Try using the spinnaker halyard hooked onto the bow ring. A trick shown to be by one of my charterers and an excellent idea. Saves the back and reduces chances on dipping into the briny.
