Aluminium trim
      #1862694 - 17/05/2008 20:23

Does anyone know where I can get polished extruded aluminium trim, D or J profile, about 1" wide? I know TACO do it in the US (I think it comes in 12' lengths, so shipping would be impossible). I don't know where/if you can get it in the UK? Web search fruitless. Any advice gratefully received.

Hi, try commercial vehicle bodybuilders suppliers, Servmet are one such supplier of aluminium profiles.

Have alook at what the DIY stores stock. Eg B&Q You might find something satisfactory but as you dont say what you want it for I cannot comment further.

Some tiling specialists sell it as borders for between tile, and on certain types of floor tiles, some of the alu trims are actually called Tacos.

It was used to 'finish off' parts of my boat (eg edges and joins) and some now needs replacing.

Well worth a peek at what B&Q and the likes have then.
I was after some extruded hockey stick section that I could bend round an inside radius. They did not have that though.
