VHF/Autohelm interference - HELP!
      19/05/2008 21:11

Is anyone able to advise what might be causing my fixed VHF Radio to make an interference type sound, similar to the squelch being turned down too far, each time the autohelm turns the helm? Also, the radio reception and transmission is very weak. The handhed gives better performance than the fixed set. Is this a connected to the interference problem? Any advice gratefully received.
