Thanks, but managed to get a tow to Bourne End and get River Canal Rescue out...how often do both engines cut within seconds of each other...would appear that the fuel transfer wasn't working and both engines ran one tank dry, drawing in the crap into the filter....the fuel gauges were wrong and pointing to the wrong sides, so the tank I thought was empty was in fact full! We think a fuel pump is weak and the other filter full of crap and has a leaky bleed valve, so back to DB marine after a £3k service! Bourne End Marina and RCR are stars though!! What a maiden trip on our new (old) boat, heading straight for the bank with no engines...not too sure who owned the old pontoon I rammed into, but it didn't damage the boat!

Sorry to hear of your problems. Was moored at Cookham and saw you being towed. Not the way to eyeball a forumite i'm sure but hope all goes well getting it sorted quick

whats amusing is my mate who towed me 2 cookham also broke down upstream and needed the bourne end tug as well
