Re : Bridge Closure at Sonning . As you may or may not know forum members are heading up river for a ball and sonning bridge closure is going to stop them getting there . Many members have taken time off work to go and are wondering if they should turn back now .

What was amasing was that the email from the EA said lock keepers would inform boaters about the closure, and a patrol launch would be at Shiplake.
The lock keepers I spoke to knew nothing about it, one said he'd heard something, but didn't know about 2:00pm closure.
No launch at Shiplake.
Communications, what communication?

The EA won't tell you about problems only about useless information as they are to busy directing you to boat sales and the Visit Thames web site. I rest my case.
