Here am I, enjoying the peace and quiet of Friesland, safe from the attention of fellow Brits and whats just moored up in front of me? A boat flying a Bray Cruiser Club burgee! Is there no escape?

Just put some Clogs on, grab a slice of Edam and dance on their deck. I will not remind you to put a Tulip in your hair because you do that anyway.

You might say that, I couldn't possibly comment, especially as whoever it is was a little slow in taking his ensign in tonight. I don't know where BCC stand on such matters but at the UTMYC it is a hanging offence!

Quite right too. I believe some clubs will confiscate the Pole & Ensign and charge a £10 recovery fee for charity. In the 'good old days' I have knowledge of Royal Yacht Clubs withdrawing Warrants for a Blue Ensign from persistant offenders. Ho-Hum oh for the days when Yachting was the preserve of Gentlemen and traditions adhered to.
