Started off by leaving Oldgit at Cookham this morning (believe he later reached Marlow) and was first in the queue to get through Cookham Lock. Whilst waiting, joejo wandered along and introduced himself and we kept company all the way down to Bell Weir. Dogsbody exited Old Windsor as we waited to enter, and Gavi was on waving duty as we approached Staines Bridge. Tried to wave at rr123 but he seemed preoccupied with the telly. Once through Penton Hook, exchanged brief pleasantries with Dolittle who was out in the garden and waffled some lame excuse about family commitments preventing his attendance next weekend. A bit further down and Bulto was seen sitting on his boat and said 'hi' .
Nice to see you all, and particularly to meet joejo.
How was that for a forumy sort of day?

Well I tried to see wobbly legs at Richmond and failed (few trailers though?), then hit the white swan to see if I could find some lower thames folk and failed so you did better than me! Even the Barmy Arms was empty of Eel Pie folk

I failed too - woke up at about 1:30 am with a nasty cough, felt like death warmed up at about 8 am. Took the day off from life in general. Still feeling crap.
Sorry you made the effort to no avail. I will post when I try again...
Tim.

Oh the Shame !!
In my defence I had a bit of a grump on caused by a moderate to severe hangover and had to watch HG Wells' "The time machine" and then snooze through The Towering Inferno

Funnily enough I was telling a friend recently that I paid about twelve hundred hard earned quid for two (TWO) pairs of curtains in the "marital" home. "bl**dy hell" he replied, "you could get a good plasma TV for that!"
Single life - good plasma TV and NO curtains

Nice to see you
With the weather being [--word removed--], i hooked up online with a mate of mine in Leeds and played Civ4 all day. Just finished... 9 hours and he eventually capitulated.
It looked like it was a full lock - lots of big boats coming down.
Meanwhile, the cats have sussed that there are squirrels in the trees....

Spent the day moored near Eton boathouses. Was just idly listening to the VHF and the problems with Romney lock yesterday after a Hydraulic ram came off one of the gates. Top day for it i'd say
