hi all I am having problems getting my lowreance 5150 plotter talking to my ratheon VHF DSC any idears

Have you set the plotter to output an NMEA signal?.... it doesn't as default, and needs configuring to do so... under menu/systems setp/communications/tick the box marked NMEA output....
