Hi, I've removed all but one of the threads on this subject because, unfortunately, the conversation had gone past the point of being an informative, useful discussion and instead become just argumentative and abusive.
There was some useful information in between but these forums should not descend into that sort of behaviour. I apologise to those that found the threads useful and ask everyone to remember the forum rules and also polite conduct.
Thanks, Dan

Either trim it and stitch it, or just buy a new one
edit: Sorry, thought from the title your ensign was missing some threads

A multiple thread single subject hit. Must rank v high on a Mods aspirational must do list.
Having read the posts until the book was removed from the shelf, I would think that the perps could have been given the week off to prevent them muddying the waters further for the period, by which time the natural decay of threads would have sent it to the bottom of page 2.
Still, I respect your right to action in the way you see it Dan.

Perhaps, but in my opinion too many people had become involved in a messy subject so I'm hoping everyone gets the message and bans won't be necessary.

Perhaps Yachting Monthly could run an article on marine law for water sports enthusiasts. Something like the Hughes Traffic Law for sailors.
Certainly be useful.
