Leaving a hatch open
      #1911033 - 29/06/2008 09:43

Yep, got back to my boat last night and my bunk was drenched and I didn't even notice the rain while I was in the boozer. At least the rugby was good.

Surely you could have avoided a wet bunk by shutting the hatch before you went ashore??

You wake up in the morning and your bed's all wet".

Apologies to Tennesee Ernie Ford.

Stating the obvious again are we?

When I left my boat at midday-ish, there was not a cloud in the sky, the yacht club lawn had several undersized bikinis adorning it and I was headed for the boozer to watch a provincial rugby match, followed by a flame-grilled steak with all the dressings. I can assure you that rain last thing on my mind.

Was the plan to let all the flying insects out so you wouldn't get bitten when you got back?

Came back to the boat tonight after watching some fantastic football. felt really bad though because all the hatches were shut and it didn't rain. Bummer.
