Fulmar / Bukh
      #1976165 - 29/08/2008 12:23

Has anyone removed Bukh 24 ME exhaust manifold on a Fulmar ?. Clearance between maifold and side of engine box is 3.5 inch and it looks as though the manifold has to move 4 inch to clear studs. Any suggestions. Raw water cooled.

Remeasure using a smaller tape!

Not helpful but it might make you smile in your hour of need.
Ask in techinal reader to reader forum clever people inhabit the area waiting for stuff like this.

Ask 30Boat as he removed his Bukh from his Fulmar a couple of years back.

Slack off on mounting bolts and crankshaft connection and lean it over to one side?

lower case . Absolutely using a second locking nut on the studs works- its also how I got my manifold off a Bukh 20. You can take the nut off one stud and use it on another!
