Reading the thread about the dissatisfied DS learner (Moonfleet), reminded me of the absoultely excellent experience my DS practical was - around Septemer 1999, I think. It was run by a chap called Colin, who had his own Jeanneau 41 out of Dunstaffanage. I can't remember now the name of the boat, the surname of the skipper/instructor/owner or the name of his sailing school.
All I can remember was the brillant experience we had:
first class boat first class coaching excellent entertainment and food Really good training
and, of course, one of the best sailing grounds I have ever been in... All in all one of those memories taht will stay with me (us) forever.
Does anyone know Colin here? Is he still operating? He surely deserves a thanks!
