  2. Hi Andy, I have sorted the leech battens I think. When the sail is supplied the silver tuning cord is threaded through the batten pocket . Common sense suggest that if you want to adjust it you have to pull it out as the batten does not sit in the centre of the pocket. The north sails pdf I found does not really explain this, so if you are new to this design. You are unsure..
    As for the the batten car, seems to me there are three main issues causing the problem.
    1. The car is metal alloy , soft metals do not like being rubbed together as they can stick.
    2. Because the track groove is formed as a radius as it travels up the track it rotates slightly locking itself. Unlike the plastic ones which are straight
    3. This is exacerbated by the rotating pin where it attaches to the sail.
    I am racing today and am going to try a hoist again. The rep seems to think the problem of the leech over lap is not a problem, in a stronger breeze Iím sure it is not, but in light breeze I want to see.

    With the slides can you send me a photo of the different slides? I think I understand the issue but would like to check.
