  1. Hi Richard,
Only just got your message, Great to hear from you, I don't think you would want to see recent photos, she seams to have been quite neglected later in life.

your father must have been very skilled to build her, A credit to him im sure. She has no engine and the cockpit has suffered some water damage. all her deck fittings have been removed. Astonishingly her teak cockpit seats are in fine condition.
My plan is to restore her back to her original condition with a few cosmetic changes. she still has all her original sails. I am planning to carry out a lot of the work over the next two months and have her back in the water for August. of course you would be most welcome to see her when she is finished and come out on her if you wished.
ill send you some pics when I get her looking in a better state. id love a pic or two to build up a little history of her, I have absolutely nothing at present. Where did your father build her, and where did he buy the hull from ?. any info like that would be very interesting. She is currently at totnes, but she is very untidy im afraid. I hope to put a write up on the Twister forum of her shall we call it refit.

    Great to hear from you.

  2. Hi Steve,
Just seen your post about Aeolis. My dad built her back in about 1980! She certainly was beautiful. Many happy memories of sailing her around the West Country, the Solent and across the Channel.
I've done up a few boats myself including a 40year old Contessa 26, so very happy to offer advice if any needed. I could probably dig out some old photos? I'd certainly be interested to see any more recent ones you've taken,
