Perfect clip to understand - what is Bora. 2 or 3 times yearly, during winter, it blows with a force of hurricane 3 to 4.
During March it blows at 7. , 17. and 27. ( as old people says) very strongly.
During summer sometimes it blows with force 9 (40 to 50 kts).
BUT MORE DANGER WIND DURING WINTER IS "JUGO" - SOUTH WEST WIND AS IT MAKE BIG WAVES ( max. wave measured on the oil platform in North Adriatic was 11 m as Pilot says!)
Off course , if you respect sea and forecast, such strong wind is predictable and it is not difficult to avoid danger situation.
By the way, Marina Kastela is situated on the direct force of Bora from Klis region and I should not leave my boat there during winter months.
