Thanks for that branko. This storm was forecast as a strong Bura it was, in fact, much worse than anticipated. Yes the Bura funnels through the Kliss valley. In 2004 Marina Kastella was still under construction and as you know finding places for the winter in Croatia, even then, was not easy. I agree, the Jugo is fearsome but M.Kastella is protected from that direction!

Respecting the sea and forecast is indeed a sailors number one priority, but in the situation of 13-15th Nov 2004 there was no way out!
