off again!

Booked our ferry ticket and will be proper liveaboards again by next Monday - albeit on land while the solar panels, new toilet, starter, etc…. get fitted!

If anyone in the South of France (we’ll be in Navy Service) in the following week could use a Toyota Carina Estate, t&t, for £200, drop me an email or look on the row level with where everyone moors up after being launched. I did the 910 miles from Nottingham and back already last month, so if I’m there again you’ll know it’s reliable! The Dover Dunkerque ferry is only £18 for the car & the two of us.

Failing that, does anyone know of a scrap yard near Port St Louis? Seems like an odd combination of questions but thanks to India & China the scrap price is sky high at the moment so financially it makes no odds to me although it‘s a shame to waste such a nice car.

I’m just on the final purchase now of a car hifi unit for the boat with a usb input so we can download stuff onto the flashcard, saving bringing aboard cd’s etc. and also using the laptop which I would assume draw more power?? My question is, are the £30 “T” splitters in the chandlery that split the signal from the vhf ariel so that it can also provide an FM feed into a car audio unit anything special or could I just use a £2 version from any electronic shop?

Thanks, Shane.
