Yes, if you are a ham it is free to use, BUT not for any commercial purpose - no ordering spare parts, no booking air tickets, no e-mails to your bank or about your rented out house. Sailmail has no restrictions on what you use the e-mail for - commercial is fine. $250 is good value for that.
