Getting older, wisely, has taught me not to trust my memory or the wife's. We see a peculiar arrangement of lights, we look it up. First we treat it as a tow 'cos they're dangerous then we watch carefully. We also operate by the West Indian collision regs 'De bigger boat has de right of way'. We have been in what we perceived as a dire situation last year when lights we could see were confusing to say the least. Had us on deck ready for the worste! Apparently it was in the fog so lights were a bit dim! A motor boat made it inpossible to hear any fog signals. No doubt MAIB will be involved so get the full SP then. And hey! He's was a fully passed out pupil of yours!
