I have mellowed somewhat. When you run your own business, and add up all the costs, the insurances, wages, advertising, rates, health and safety issues, loan repayments etc, and then, actually look at what you earn, net, for a day's work, you get a far better idea of what is a 'realistic' price.

It is a difficult one. One of the things that has always put me off sailing, for many years, was the crazy cost of marina fees etc. To be honest I was ignorant, and probably still am to an extent.

At the end of the day, the Ł50 figure will probably regulate itself. If people pay it, it will stay, if they don't, it will come down.
