'The Logical Route' is fantastic. Agree about suprising comments. He felt that his yacht shouldn't be lit because it should be for the yacht to avoid the ship. It's actually a view I have some sympathy for. (Not enough to actually turn my nav lights of though!)

Great writer, great man.

...depending on your definition of 'round the world non-stop' he was first man to sail alone round the world non-stop.
