I can remember my Dad's boat leaving Blyth to go to the Forth. That was in 1972. I wasn't allowed off school for the delivery trip.

Sailed up to Granton. Pickfords across to Princes's Dock in Glasgow and down the Clyde to her mooring at Cardwell Bay. Bit different from what we were used to - a 12' 6" McKays dinghy!
