Caledonian Yawl is fast and flightly. Lovely boat to look at and light to handle on land. If you want something a bit more realxing , you might consider something from Character Boats. i don't fancy much out of their current range, other than the whammel. I have a 20 year old lune pilot which looks great, and can be sailed reasonably easily. Boom is high so there is no need for crouching as you go about. You won't set any records, but time afloat is going to be more important for you than distance travelled.

The hardest part can be getting the boat in and out of the water. Getting a really well set up trailer makes all the difference. Good luck. R
