I just finished a week ago re-varnishing my hull and the mast (skipped re caulking, will be next time). I'm based on the French Riviera so that's not quite relevant to you but note this is the peak season and I suppose yard charges in your area too should be much cheaper in just a couple of months. Also, it's best if you can do everything yourself.
