it might also provide somewhere to hide from heavy weather,sit at anchor in the lee of the storm,it will also give fish a place to hide from the mechanised fishing boats,25 years ago during june/july the rigs would be teaming with cod,great big woppers,there were so many that you sometimes had to push them out of the way(used to be a rig diver),these days there are very few fish left. they will also provide employment,in an area that needs it,as for the wind farms themselves,i question as to why they cannot manufacture some sort of hydro-electric turbine that uses the tide,that way if you have the windmill on top,you would be generating from two sources. and i agree with the statement about plastic bags and bottles,i remember the days when i would scrounge around for old lemonade bottles so that i could claim the threepence back and buy my self some toffie ![]() so why cant we go back to glass bottles? the plastic ones are useless in a pub fight
