Re: Slowing up

Searider 45 -- 1974 build by a company called Beecham Marine in Tewkesbury...used to build wooden motor cruisers in the 1960s, then turned to GRP bottom/wooden top in 1970s. 25% VAT killed that off in 1975 with only around six of the 45s built (I've tracked down pics of four of them so far but have no idea where Formanda's sisters are).

Not yet sure but assume Beecham was based at what is now Tewkesbury Marina.

Hull design is great, takes head seas really well without any slamming.

Quite a lot of work to do and she will always be a little bit of a Forth Bridge project but loads of room on board and a full size galley right next door to the engineroom companionway so may main areas of interest nicely grouped :-)
