That's interesting cos I started my first ever job in Tewkesbury in 1976 and spent many a happy lunch hour down by the river. Wasn't much interested in boats at the time but don't recall seeing a boatyard. As you say most likely to be where the marina is or somewhere close by. Shakespeare boats were also based there, quite a boatbuilding hub!
