So do I. This subject came up some time ago and the conclusion seemed to be that you loose the unread-post indications when you close your browser (or of course use a different computer)......but ONLY, and this is what I find strange, for any forums you have accessed during that browser session.

It would be nice to understand just what is stored in the cookies, and what is retained as user-related info on the server.
