As long as your laptops have wifi in them, or wifi dongles, then it should be relatively easy to set up. A '3' dongle is presumably to connect via phone, not wireless router, so a bit of clarification needed.

The XP wizard is great when it works, but sometimes it doesn't and you simply have to do it manually.

If the router is wifi enabled, then much better to do it that way than through the pc.
