Hi all, CHIRP has been part of the aviation safety scene for years, and has achieved some notable successes. I am sure that under Peter Tait's direction, the marine CHIRP will grow to be a worthwhile mechanism. On the subject of unmarked pots, I honestly don't know why we don't all simply cut the lines of those we find. This would be the simplest and most effective way of solving this problem. Two wrongs don't make a right, but as Kim so ably explains, the problem is not going to go away without some action, somewhere. So, I echo Kim's recommendation. Give CHIRP your support, and use it - it is only one tool in the safety kit, but it's a sharp one. |
