I'm just in the process of replacing my deck carpets. I have the current ones to use as patterns, and I'm off to the carpet shop to get some decent stuff - NOT rubber backed, but preferably canvas backed on the basis that they occasionally get wet. The current rubber backed carpets stick when they get wet leaving traces of rubber all over the deck. As they're strange shapes I was looking for someone to 'bind' the edges. A bit of research on t'internet revealed that it's called 'whipping'. (Never knew that). But then I discovered this; http://www.easybind.co.uk/ clicky for installation video. Looks interesting and relatively straightforward, so I'll give it a go. |
