I don't think that anyone would really cry out "Social Injustice" or point the finger at "new socialism" because a "poor" boatowner will carry an extra tax burden on his leisure activity.

In real terms "poor" cannot be used to describe anyone who has motorboating as a hobby. Look at the unfortunate Chinese workers being exploited for Ł1 a day - thats "poor" - they weren't out there gambling with their lives worrying about the price of diesel for recreational boaters.

I think we are loosing touch with reality if we feel too badly done to IMHO.
