French med mooring

We have been in Spain now for 3 years and would very much like to moor in France for a couple of years. Preferably around French Spanish border. I know it is very difficult to find moorings but was hoping some one may have some suggestions. We need a mooring for a 14metre yacht and of course budeget is an issue. We haave been told Saint Cyprien is very nice marina but it is fulll and sounds like little chance of this changing in the near future.

Re: French med mooring

You could try Rosas or Empuriabrava on the Spanish side of Cabo Begur....
I think Rosas has 15m+ berths available and the waiting list at Empuriabrava is not usualy too long.

Re: French med mooring

My boat has been out of the water waiting for a place in the port at Gruissan for 4 years. I believe all the places which come free are taken by new boats sold by local dealers.

We are moving to Spain where we have arranged a place at the new MDL marina at Sant Carles de la Rapita, as France is so difficult now. Not like the old days at all.
