Solid fuel stoves

Can anyone recommend a compact solid fuel heater for a 31 foot boat. I'm fed up of smelly diesel blowbacks, they seem inevitable whatever type of heater I've sailed with, separate air inlet or no. I'd need something that can burn wood, peat or coal. A hotplate would be nice as would a side mounted chimney.
All suggestions welcome!

look up the "westmarine" on line , they have Taylor heaters, including solid fuel types. Fishermen have been using them for years.. I will be buying one this winter.. Have heard very good things about them.

Hi
whilst browsing around the local Machine Mart I spotted a small pot belly stove, cast iron construction, hotplate and various bits of pipe to build a flue. Its ornate and definately retro but at £70 I could live with it in my thirty year old boat.

I have a 'Nelson' which I think are still made. Its very neat, and designed for yachts. Works very well with charcoal and smokeless fuel, although need to keep narrow bore chimney clean. Does get very hot so need to make sure not going to overheat surrounding bulkheads etc.
