The answer to the burger bar that was given the heave ho as Ipswich waterfront is auctioned off...The Lord Nelson, just behind the Customs House. Excellent brews and dependable grub. All the yachting clubs end up there on rally...

Called in there a couple of weeks ago - what a superb pub. Sadly they weren't doing food that night, so after sampling the Adnams strolled across town to The Dove (http://www.dovestreetinn.co.uk/) - oh boy, what a pub. By the time I'd been in there for an hour or so I really wasn't interested in food any more...
