The wide mouthed frog

While in Dunstaffanage marina we decided to eat here, the food itself was good and wine total bill came to £167.00 for four folk, we finished our meal by aprox 22.40 and decided to nip back to the boat for cigars and the short walk after the meal and return to the bar for a night cap,on our return at 23.02 we were refused the said night cap as it was after hours bar closes at 23.00 sharp.
Now i understand that rules is rules, but folk at the bar had just been served pints in fact i saw them pulled in front of me At 23.00 yet we were still refused .
When i explained that we dined there and only niped back for cigars the answer was still NO.
The next time it will be a taxi in to Oban for grub, a group of six of another boat got the same treatment, a fine example of how to lose custom, be warned

Re: The wide mouthed frog

I turned up alone in Dunstaffnage in July.

Went ashore to get something to eat, arrived at the Frog looking for a bar supper, nothing doing. Only thing on offer was the full monty at the full monty sit down price. Even then I would have had to wait an hour for a table..........

I ended up in a pub in Oban

Cheers
